Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

runaway trains are everywhere
A genuine rollercoaster ride

I saw this when they were spray painting it in 1979.... record books say it took 16,000 gallons of paint and a lot of steel and concrete.

little did I know it would become one of my favorite attractions.   I am not fond of rollercoasters but Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, of course, by Disney.

The ride feels faster than it is and is peculiarly smooth for a rollercoaster.   A tourguide said they used a novel kind of track but didn't expand on the subject.   If you ride Space Mountain and compare, you will see what I mean.   Unless they change the tracks at Space Mountain and then you'll just say, "oh, what a smooth ride!"   Just ride it.
