This second photo of the front of the Great Movie Ride was taken much earlier in the day than the first. You can see by the lighting. This attraction, this large building, stands at the end of Hollywood Boulevard and can be seen from MGM's entrance.
Before it was Mann's Theatre it was Grauman's. This Disney reproduction sits on a sort of hub at MGM Studios where you can go off in all directions for more attractions and rides. Among the few other things circling this hub is the Hollywood Brown Derby, helping set the 1940s/1950s atmosphere.
Singing in the Rain, Mary Poppins, Raiders of the Lost Ark, John Wayne ... they're all in there.
