Rhino on the Tree of Life

As you can see, there are a number of endangered species in this photo.   There is a squid, a rodent, a number of fish, a snake, and perhaps even a sea cucumber.

There is no sane reason for rhinos to be endangered.   Poachers have killed off most of all five species of rhinoceros just because they can get money for their horns, just because some people superstitiously believe ingesting the powdered horns will help them with frivolous pursuits.   Some conservation organizations have begun tranquilizing rhinos and sawing the horns off so they will be of no value to poachers.
